Dr. Ali Nazari (40) is a proven expert in the future topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
From 2001 to 2008, he was engaged in research at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research and at the then GMD-IPSI in Darmstadt. His strengths include conceptual design and implementation of innovative research methods. Since 2003, he has designed and implemented national and international research projects, including acquisition of both public and private funding. As such, he has many contacts across a broad network in science and industry.
In 2008, he completed his doctorate at Darmstadt Technical University with distinction based on a thesis on the topic of “Interaction with ambient intelligence”. Since 2009, he has worked on related topics at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and at the Technical University of Berlin.
Alongside human-computer interaction and ambient intelligence, his research also focuses on intelligent agents, multi-agent systems, pervasive and mobile games, game-based rehabilitation, massively multiplayer online gaming (MMOG) and e-commerce.
As author and co-author of a large number of scientific articles and holder of two patents, Dr. Nazari has received numerous awards and is a sought-after speaker.
